About

I’m a registered clinical Social Worker, located in midtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and am currently registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers.

I received my B.A. in Psychology and Anthropology from Ohio State University, and did research under the supervision of Dr. Margaret Mead. I have a Master’s degree in Social Work from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.

I worked in the department of psychiatry at the Wellesley Hospital in Toronto. During this time I provided inpatient and aftercare psychotherapy to individuals and their families with moderate to severe psychiatric disorders. I also provided training to medical students and residents in family therapy.

I have been an instructor at Ryerson University in the School of Social work, and a Special Needs Counsellor at Sheridan College. I have also worked for the City of Toronto and Government of Ontario, offering employee assistance counselling to public service employees.

While working at Bloorview Macmillan Centre, I developed a speciality helping individuals affected by brain trauma. I am the founder and director of Therapy Outreach Services, which exclusively provides therapy services to trauma survivors and their families.

I can effectively develop and implement therapeutic interventions to help negotiate complicated life situations and help individuals develop a life plan. I have also completed Level I and II in Alternative Dispute Resolution and provide creative problem solving in all areas. I am a trained EMDR specialist and am able to apply these skills to enhance counselling.

I have strong networking and collaborative skills and write comprehensive and timely reports for insurers, lawyers and other consultants when required. I provide consulting and training services to employers and employees and have done program development in health and education at a governance level.

I continue to provide services in the areas of individual, couple, marital, and family therapy. I have an expertise in working with individuals and families impacted by catastrophic brain injuries. I also work with families who have children with special needs to help them organize future life planning. I am a trained first responder with Response Works, Inc.

I am an experienced practitioner who helps individuals, couples, and families find their way to live fuller and more satisfying lives.
